Sjóðurinn heitir Frjósemissjóður Krafts og er eign Krafts – Stuðningsfélags fyrir ungt fólk sem greinst hefur með krabbamein og aðstandendur.
The fund is called the Kraftur Fertility Fund and is the property of Kraftur – the Support Organization for Young People Diagnosed with Cancer and Their Families.

Sjóðsfé er framlag úr sjóði Krafts sem stjórn félagsins ákvarðar hvert starfsár.
The fund consists of contributions from the resources of Kraftur, as determined by the organization’s board each operating year.

Tilgangur sjóðsins er að styrkja ungt fólk á aldrinum 18-45 ára sem greinst hefur með krabbamein og þarf á frjósemismeðferð að halda vegna veikinda sinna.
The purpose of the fund is to support young people aged 18–45 who have been diagnosed with cancer and require fertility treatment as a result of their illness.

Styrkir úr frjósemissjóði eru veittir samkvæmt umsókn í samræmi við reglur þessar og með hliðsjón af fyrirliggjandi gögnum og fjárhagsstöðu sjóðsins hverju sinni.
Grants from the Fertility Fund are allocated upon application in accordance with these rules and with consideration of the supporting documentation submitted and the financial status of the fund at any given time.

Félagsfólk Krafts á aldrinum 18-45 ára sem greinst hefur með krabbamein og þarf á frjósemismeðferð að halda vegna þess, geta sótt um styrk úr Frjósemissjóði. Kraftur metur styrkhæfi umsækjenda með tilliti til fyrirliggjandi gagna og stöðu sjóðsins hverju sinni.
Með umsókn skulu fylgja eftirtalin gögn;
- Nýlegt læknisvottorð sem endurspeglar núverandi sjúkdómsgreiningu og/eða stöðu veikinda
- Reikningar og/eða greiðsluáætlanir vegna útlagðs eða fyrirhugaðs kostnaðar
Members of Kraftur aged 18–45 who have been diagnosed with cancer and require fertility treatment as a result may apply for a grant from the Fertility Fund. Kraftur evaluates applicants’ eligibility based on submitted documentation and the financial status of the fund at the time.
The following documents must accompany the application:
- A recent medical certificate reflecting the diagnosis and/or status of the illness
- Invoices and/or payment plans for incurred or anticipated expenses

Miðað skal við að umsóknir séu afgreiddar innan fjögurra vikna frá því að þær berast. Félagið áskilur sér rétt til frekar upplýsingaöflunar við afgreiðslu umsókna eftir þörfum.
Applications should generally be processed within four weeks of receipt. The organization reserves the right to request additional information when necessary during the application review process.

Öll gögn sem Frjósemissjóði Krafts berast eru meðhöndluð sem trúnaðargögn og farið með þau sem slík hjá félaginu. Að lokinni úthlutun verður innsendum gögnum eytt. Félagið áskilur sér þó að halda til haga kennitölu viðkomandi, nafni og upphæð styrks til þess að hægt sé að halda utan um úthlutanir styrkja.
All documents received by the Kraftur Fertility Fund are treated as confidential and handled accordingly by the organization. After the allocation process is completed, submitted documents will be deleted. However, the organization reserves the right to retain the applicant’s national ID number, name, and the amount of the grant for the purpose of maintaining records of grant allocations.
